The new phones feature Android 12, launched in May. Among the changes in the system is the visual language "Material You", which, according to Google, is more colourful and customizable.

When using a new wallpaper, the system identifies the colour palette of the image and automatically makes changes to display compatible tones in areas such as menus.

In addition to all the possibilities mentioned, both smartphones have a biometric reader on the screen, IP68 certification (protection against dust and water), Dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, charging up to 23 W and wireless charging. Already charging with wires (USB-C), both devices support 30W of power.

The company has improved speech recognition and language comprehension on both smartphones. This allows users to facilitate daily tasks such as using their voice to type a message.

The enhancement also helps Live Translate, which enables users to converse with people who speak other languages (English, French, German, Italian, and Japanese) — essentially, the feature scans apps like WhatsApp to automatically translate messages into other languages. In "Interpret Mode" it's even possible to talk to another person face to face, you just need to be patient to take turns translating with the person you're talking to. There are 48 languages available in this mode.

Another big news for users of the new Google Pixel 6 or 6 Pro is that Google now promises 5 years of security updates. The Pixel 6 will be available to consumers on October 28, 2021, initially for $599.
